Surf and Sand
Surfers provide endless free entertainment and perfect opportunities for practicing fast shutter speeds and action shots. I can stand on the cliffs and lose track of time trying to get a great shot. One of my all time favorite moments was watching a sea lion and a surfer surprise each other at the apex of a wave. The surfer put up his hand and the sea lion put up his fin in an unintended high five. Sometimes the surfers spot me taking photos and check to see if I got any of them. If so, I happily send them the images after I process them at home.
Low tides reveal a rich, colorful and diverse array of sealife. A bustling world just below the surface, otherwise unseen to us.
