Refracted Light in Spider Silk and Colorful Bokeh
The first time I spotted colorful light visible within the strands of a spider web was one of the most enchanting moments of my walks. Figuring out how to capture the colors in a photograph was something akin to euphoria. When light and angle are just right, taking a shot of these minuscule rainbows is irresistible. Figuring out how to reduce colorful lights to overlapping circles, also known in photography as bokeh, was similarly thrilling. Bokeh is often used as an alluring background in night photographs. I like it as a main subject too.
